Lee Kum Kee is a Hong Kong-based food company which specializes in manufacturing a wide range of Chinese and Asian sauces. Lee Kum Kee was founded in 1888 by a chef at a cooked oyster shop in Guangdong village near Shenzhen. The story goes that after leaving a barrel of oysters to ferment, he discovered they created a delicious rich brown liquid, which is the origin of modern oyster and XO sauce. Lee Kum Kee now produces more than 200 Chinese-style sauces, including oyster sauce, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, XO sauce, and chilli sauce. Lee Kum Kee's Panda Brand Oyster Flavoured Sauce is a slightly milder oyster sauce, but with all the same qualities you'd expect from Lee Kum Kee's Premium Oyster Sauce.
