Japanese shirataki noodles, or konjac noodles, have a translucent glass-like appearance, owing to the fact they’re made from mostly water and a type of fibre that comes from konjac root. Shirataki noodles are a great alternative for people who can’t eat noodles that contain wheat, gluten or eggs.
By themselves, konjac noodles have quite a neutral flavour, which makes them ideal for taking on the flavours of various dishes, adding to their versatility.
