Honor's Friend Round Gluten contains Chinese fried gluten balls, or Mian Jin, which are roughly golf ball sized spheres of deep fried dehydrated wheat gluten. They are very light with a smooth golden surface and a crispy texture. In Chinese cooking, fried gluten balls are usually used as an alternative to meat and poultry due to their meaty texture. Fried gluten balls absorb flavour very well and are widely used in stir-fried dishes, stews, and hot pots.
